Canadian Wiggler

"They sure catch fish !"

With mass production and multi-media promotion now the marketing strategy of most tackle manufacturers, it is reassuring to know that one Canadian tackle company has maintained the tradition of hand-painting, hand-testing every lure it produces - the Lindquist Brothers Bait Company of Windsor, Ontario - makers of the world-famous Canadian Wiggler.

It is difficult to imagine fishing in Canada (or anywhere else for that matter) without a Canadian Wiggler in your tackle box.

The Canadian Wiggler evolved in the late 1940's at the hands of its inventor - Walter Lindquist Sr. - who tinkered and tested his uniquely designed fishing lure and fished it with outstanding results.
His workmanship and attention to detail continue today. Only quality materials, a unique hollow design, an almost indestructible character, and individual hand testing guarantee that each Canadian Wiggler meets the highest standards for quality. As it was in the beginning - and always will be - the Canadian Wiggler withstands the tests of time and place.

Cast or trolled, this genuine Canadian classic catches all species of sportfish - anywhere in the world, in fresh or salt water.

Every Canadian Wiggler goes through a series of production steps beginning with a blanking and forming machine which cuts and shapes the brass. The lure is then trimmed, curled into the familiar Canadian Wiggler "banana" shape, and its seams are welded and buffed. Following a tumbling operation, the lure is next given a base coat / primer, then is hand-painted (choice of 51 colours / patterns) and, later, lacquered.
The final steps involve attaching the hooks, testing each lure by hand, and packaging. Only that kind of attention to detail will produce a genuine Canadian Wiggler.
"The lure that endures the test of time."

Special thanks to the Lindquist Brothers Bait Co. for their assistance with this feature.
