In 1997, the OntarioFisherman.com website was developed to replace the popular Ontario Fisherman Magazine - "the voice of the Ontario angler" - and the definitive guide to Ontario's premier fishing destinations - which ceased publication in 1996.

Originally prepared and posted online as a quarterly "e-zine" by long-time OFM field editor, Bill Rivers, OntarioFisherman.com remains committed to showcasing "the best of Ontario sportfishing".

Specializing in fly-in and semi-remote fishing destinations, OntarioFisherman.com presents a comprehensive Ontario sportfishing information resource, in-depth features on fishing hotspots, outfitter profiles, useful fishing tips & tactics, informative and entertaining columns, trip planning information and a no-charge trip recommendations / referral service.
