| Back-lakes bass fishing, long the secret of local anglers, has now caught the attention of bass fishermen from across the continent. While great fishing and big bass have always been the objective, bass fishing vacations to small, isolated back lakes have become therapeutic retreats for a growing number of anglers. And Southern Ontario has plenty of out-of-the-way, brimming-with-bass sites to lure even the most accomplished or jaded angler. Furthermore, all are within a few hours' drive of popular US-Canada border crossings. Beyond that, a short 15 to 30-minute flight will put you in the midst of an otherwise inaccessible tract of Crown Land where the fishing for smallmouth and largemouth bass is nothing less than incredible. |  |
 | Bass fly-ins are surprisingly affordable - a typical 3 or 4-day fly-in trip will cost (US $) between $ 250. and $ 300. for a mini/tent camp, $ 300. to $ 400. for an outpost camp, and $ 600. to $ 750. for AP lodge packages. Those are inexpensive packages considering that the price includes the flights in and out, exclusive site use, boats, motors, fuel and accommodations. |
